the Quirky Inventor

This was my submission for the Quirky Promo brief. The aim was to design a promotional product that companies can give away on trade shows, or other publicity events. A good promo item is something you want to keep and display so the advertisers logo and name are shown to as many people as possible. As it’s effectively a give away item it has to be really cheap to manufacture.

So here was my submission:

CDs and DVDs are all over the place. Paper sleeve CDs come with books, gadgets, newspapers etc. Each of us keeps a bunch of these lying around on the desk or in a drawer. Plenty of CD/DVD organizers exist but most of us simply does not bother to buy one or the ones we have are bulky and impractical so we don’t use them.

So here is the perfect CD/DVD organizer for the ultra minimalist. It’s essentially a free standing wooden peg that allows you to stack 30-50 CDs and keep them around on your desk. The design is ultra minimalistic yet classy. It is a practical organizer to keep on your desk and it makes an excellent conversation piece.

This promo gift is perfect for students, software & IT people and office workers. This gift fits perfectly to Apple/Mac users who are known to prefer minimalistic designs.
